Job Introduction
After 9 years, our current Business manager is off to a new adventure. We are, therefore, seeking a vibrant, focused and good-humoured person to join our office team as our new Business Manager. Supported by the admin team, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the operating of the business functions of our school, including financial management, health and safety, human resources, compliance and administration.
Reporting to the Headteacher, they will advise on and implement the day-to-day support that enables the school to operate effectively and efficiently, and that allows other members of the leadership team to focus on teaching and learning.
The Business Manager also prepares reports for OCC, attends and reports to the Governor Resources Committee. They would be expected to attend 4 or 5 evening meetings across the year, with appropriate notice.
Our school is a great place to work. The team are supportive and flexible. The children are great fun, respectful and keen to learn. There are always opportunities to interact with the children and occasionally to attend trips and visits with them. We would expect our successful candidate to assume this interaction with the pupils as part of their principles.
The role is offered as a 2 year contract at first, depending on school funding in 2 years' time. It is very likely that the role will then become permanent.
