We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Apprentice Teaching Assistant from September 2025.
This position is term time only for 37 hours a week at Apprentice rate Grade 3. Typically the apprenticeship will last between 18 – 24 months. The right candidate will have 4 days working within the school environment and 1 day release to work on the educational side of the apprenticeship. This will be with our chosen educational provider.
You will be allocated a dedicated mentor who will help you understand the key role of a Teaching Assistant within a school environment. You will be working across the school in our many Teaching Assistant roles including our Before School Club.
This position is suitable for anyone from the age of 16.
Essential Criteria
Numeracy and Literacy skills at Level 2 (equivalent to 4 GCSE Grades 9 - 4)
Knowledge of ICT programs for word processing, spreadsheets, internet and email
Ability to recognise and respond to children’s needs, interests and development
Ability to remain calm when working in challenging situations
Ability to demonstrate that you are tolerant and respectful of people’s differences.
Ability to deal with work of a confidential nature
Ability and willingness to undertake the L3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship qualification making sure that all targets are achieved. This may include attending off site training as needed.
