Administrative Assistant

Job Introduction

We are looking for an Administrative Assistant / Receptionist to be part of the front of office team starting in September 2025.  The successful candidate will have a key role contributing to the smooth running of our busy office.  The varied role will require a person with good organisational and administrative skills who is confident and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

The person appointed will:

  • Have good personal and organisational skills and an ability to communicate effectively and professionally with staff, parents, pupils and visitors to the school
  • Have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, ideally gained in a working office environment
  • Provide routine clerical support E.g. photocopying, filing, emailing and completing routine forms
  • Maintain manual and computerised records/management information systems
  • Be flexible and able to cope with the changing demands of the school day in a very busy office
  • Produce work of a high standard
  • Understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality and discretion at all times
  • Undertake routine administration as required

This is a permanent part-time position, 22.5 hours per week 12.00pm to 4.30pm Monday to Friday

Salary:  Grade 6  –  (£25,992 – £28,163) – pro rata salary = £13,222 to £14,326
