Job Introduction
Gateway Primary School is looking to appoint a fun, friendly playworker to join our wrap around care team from September 2025. The candidate would be required to work Monday to Friday, 3:00-5:30, term time only. They would work alongside the Wraparound Care Lead and school teaching assistants to deliver informal, relaxed childcare which reflects our school RESPECT values. The dynamic and dedicated candidate must be passionate about working with children. Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to remain calm under pressure, have patience and empathy. The position will include providing play on a day to day basis, to provide a safe, stimulating, comfortable and friendly high quality after school provision. The candidate will be expected to adhere to school policies and procedures effectively, liaising with school staff and parents.
The salary for this position is Grade 4 (FTE £24,404-£24,790).
