This role includes working closely with the class teacher and supporting both individual children with additional needs and groups of children across the provision. This role may involve 1:1 support for a pupil with SEN.
The successful candidate will:
• be happy providing a range of learning support to pupils
• be happy working in role which at times can be challenging and will require initiative and flexibility to suit the needs of the child/ren
• be committed to inclusion and equality of opportunity
• work with a team of committed TAs and in collaboration with other teaching staff under the direction of the SENCo to deliver a tailored curriculum and specific intervention and support for children with high level additional needs.
A ‘can do’ attitude and sense of humour would also be useful!
There is also the opportunity to work within the school as a Lunch Time Assistant. This will be paid at £12.65 per hour.
Key Tasks include:
• Helping children with their lunch
• Supervision of pupils in the dining areas, playgrounds, or other parts of the school premises.
• To ensure standards of behaviour are maintained, in accordance with Caldecott School Behaviour Policy.
• To assist in dealing with problems arising from unruly behaviour and report such matters to the Headteacher or their designated officer.
• To assist with associated ancillary duties (e.g. cleaning up spillages, wiping down tables).
• To carry out other duties relating to lunchtime supervision as required by the Headteacher or their designated officer.
