Enstone Primary School is a friendly and welcoming village primary school, set in beautiful rural surroundings near Chipping Norton. We pride ourselves on being a small school where children are known as individuals, relationships are strong and everyone is encouraged to play an active part in school life.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and committed Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic staff team.

This is a varied and rewarding role, supporting teaching and learning within the classroom as well as providing some individual support for pupils with SEND. The role also includes some midday supervision duties, which are paid in addition to the main salary.

Previous experience of working in a school would be an advantage, but it is not essential. We are equally interested in finding someone with the right skills, qualities and attitude who is enthusiastic about learning and developing within the role. Appropriate induction, training and ongoing support will be provided.

Why join Enstone?

We can offer you:

  • a warm, friendly and supportive working environment;
  • happy, motivated children who enjoy learning and are proud of their school;
  • a positive and committed staff team who work closely together;
  • a genuinely inclusive school where every child is valued and supported to achieve their potential;
  • opportunities for training and ongoing professional development;
  • a broad and engaging curriculum, with plenty of opportunities for learning beyond the classroom;
  • excellent grounds and facilities, including fantastic outdoor learning spaces, in a beautiful rural setting; and
  • the opportunity to become a valued member of a small school community where your contribution really matters.

Could you be the person we're looking for?

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • enjoy working with children and are committed to helping them learn, develop and succeed;
  • are warm, patient and able to build positive relationships with children;
  • are enthusiastic, reliable and willing to get involved in school life;
  • work well as part of a team while also being able to use your initiative;
  • believe in including and supporting children with a wide range of needs;
  • are willing to learn, develop your skills and undertake relevant training; and
  • share our commitment to providing children with a safe, positive and rewarding primary school experience.

At Enstone, our aim is for every child to be Happy, Motivated and Achieving. If you think you could help us make that happen, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and encouraged. Please contact the school office to arrange a visit or informal conversation about the role.
