Teaching Assistant
Full or Part time working across EYFS/KS1/KS2
Grade 4 scale point 4 to 5 (£24,404 to £24,790 pro rata). 30 hours per week.
Term time only Hours of work: 8.45am to 3.15pm (30 mins break) Monday to Friday
St Swithun’s Primary school are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to start in September 2025. To work under the direction/guidance of teaching/senior staff to undertake support programmes, to enable access to learning for pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area and also includes lunchtime supervision. This post requires flexibility in working across all key stages, as required.
The successful candidate will:
• Work within a team of committed TA’s with the support from class teachers & SLT
• Be prepared to work with small groups of children
• Have previous experience of working with children
• Be committed to inclusion and equality of opportunity
• Have a minimum of GCSE English and Maths at Grade C
• Have good spoken and written English
