We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and positive Higher Level teaching Assistant to join our friendly and inclusive school. The HLTA will be based in lower KS2 to deliver the curriculum to groups of children under the direction of the teacher. You will be involved in the planning and marking in partnership with the class teacher which will be accompanied by the relevant remuneration. We require team players who are also warm and friendly towards children, with a good sense of humour.
The successful candidate will have:
- A track record of supporting young people, particularly in lower KS2
- Flexibility in their working approach
- Enthusiasm and commitment
- The ability to work as part of a team, or as an individual if required
- Sensitivity to the needs of all children
- Good literacy and mathematics skills (at least a Grade C at GCSE English and mathematics, or equivalent)
- A HLTA qualification or Qualified Teacher Status or a willingness to complete the HLTA qualification
- The ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
- To be able to attend staff training and meetings when required (relevant remuneration applies)
