Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo)

Part-time – approximately 5 hours per week (flexible) | Start date: April 2026
Aston Rowant CE Primary School is a small, popular village school on the Buckinghamshire/Oxfordshire border, close to the M40. We are a caring Christian community where every child is known, valued and supported to flourish. Our strong, nurturing ethos underpins a values-led, creative curriculum, including outdoor and Forest learning.
We are seeking a committed and compassionate SENCo to lead and coordinate provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This flexible, part-time role is ideal for an experienced practitioner who values inclusive education and enjoys working collaboratively within a small school community.
We are looking for a SENCo who:
• Has a genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEND and enabling all children to flourish
• Has high expectations of themselves and of the children they work with
• Has proven experience of supporting pupils with additional needs in a primary setting
• Is well organised, able to work independently and prioritise effectively
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Enjoys working as part of a small, supportive team
• Is committed to inclusive practice and the values and ethos of a Church of England school
