Play Leader - Before and After School Care

Job Introduction

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working individual to lead our Before and After School Club. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, day-to-day organisation, and operation of the club—providing high-quality play opportunities and care for children in a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that reflects the school’s ethos and procedures.

Working Hours:

7:15am – 8:45am (Monday–Friday)

2:45pm – 5:45pm (Monday–Friday)

Plus 1.5 hours of admin time per week

= 24 hours per week (Term time only)

Salary: Grade 7, Point 13. £28,163 FTE / £14.60 per hour

Start Date: As soon as possible (applications considered upon receipt)

  • A positive, reliable and organised individual
  • Experience working with children in a play or education setting
  • A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
  • Ability to create a safe, engaging and fun environment for all children
  • Effective communication and leadership skills
  • Strong knowledge of IT for communication, ordering, invoicing etc
