Job Introduction
St Mary and St John CE Primary School would like to appoint a part-time Midday Supervisor at our school, starting in September 2025. This is a maternity leave cover, but may become permanent. The successful applicant will be responsible for the safety, welfare and conduct of pupils during lunchtimes.
The successful candidate will:
- work within a team of committed Midday Supervisors, being a proactive role model for all children
- be proactive in building positive relationships with pupils, talking with them during their breaktime, initiating games and encouraging children to play well together
- be responsible for the safety and welfare of all children in classrooms, the dining hall, and playground
- be responsible for preparing the dining hall for school lunches and clearing away afterwards
- be able to build good relationships with children
- be patient and tolerant
- have the ability to work as part of a team
- have good spoken English

Pay grade: grade 1 £12.26 per hour (£13.74 per hour including holiday pay), term-time only (pay is set to increase shortly, by 3.2%). Hours are 11.30am to 1.40pm, Monday to Friday.
Visits to the school are welcomed.
