Headteacher

Job Introduction

Longford Park Primary School is searching for a dynamic, visionary and values‑driven Headteacher ready to lead our vibrant and nurturing school into its next chapter. The school proudly celebrated its latest Ofsted outcome in January 2026, securing a ‘strong’ standard across Attendance and Behaviour, Early Years, and Leadership and Governance, making it an inspiring and rewarding place for an ambitious leader to join.

Your Opportunity

We are looking for a proven, impactful school leader—someone who has already demonstrated successful leadership at headship or senior level and can bring the vision, confidence and clarity needed to continue our school’s growth. You will be an innovative, nurturing and collaborative leader who embodies our core values and is committed to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to Grow in character, Learn with purpose and Flourish for the future.

Part of the GLF Schools multi‑academy trust, Longford Park is a warm, inclusive and ambitious school at the heart of our local community. Our strong culture of high expectations, wellbeing and partnership with families underpins everything we do. We are proud of our enriching curriculum, inspirational learning environments and our nurturing approach, where every child feels a sense of belonging, pride and connection.

In 2025, we launched an ‘Enhanced Provision’, supporting early intervention for pupils with emerging additional needs, enabling them to develop the skills and independence required to thrive within the mainstream curriculum. We are seeking a Headteacher who can champion this important work, drive excellence in provision, and build strong partnerships with families, staff and external professionals to ensure every pupil reaches their full potential.

As part of GLF Schools — 43 schools strong — you will join a supportive, collaborative and forward‑thinking MAT with access to exceptional professional development, expert central teams and a rich network of passionate leaders.

What we are looking for

We welcome emotionally intelligent, empathetic leaders with a strong moral purpose and a deep belief in inclusive, high-quality education. The successful candidate will lead by example, inspire others, empower teams and model the values that make Longford Park a place where everyone belongs, everyone contributes and everyone is celebrated. At GLF Schools, we strive for an inclusive environment where staff and children are comfortable expressing their identity, in which diversity and inclusion enrich our community. We particularly welcome applicants from under‑represented groups including those based on race, sex, gender reassignment, age, disability, sexual orientation or religion/belief.

Join the GLF Schools Community

As a part of GLF Schools, you will join a community of staff dedicated to transforming education. With regular progression discussions, there will be a wealth of opportunities for you to grow your career, whether in one of our 43 academies or in our central team.

  • Multi Academy Trust with over 2,000 colleagues and over 17,000 pupils
