After School Club Playworker

Job Introduction

St Mary and St John CE Primary School would like to appoint a part-time Playworker at our After School Club, starting in January 2026, with a possibility to start earlier. The successful applicant will be required to prepare snacks, and coordinate stimulating and enjoyable activities under the guidance of the After School Club Supervisor.

 
 The successful candidate will:

  • work within a team of committed Playworkers with support from the After School Club Supervisor
  • be creative and imaginative
  • be well organised with excellent communication skills
  • be able to build good relationships with children
  • be patient and tolerant
  • have the ability to work as part of a team
  • have good spoken English

Pay grade: grade 4 £13.05 per hour (£14.63 per hour including holiday pay), term-time only. Hours are 3pm to 6pm, Monday to Thursday (a total of 12 hours per week).
