1:1 Teaching Assistant with Lunchtime Supervision

Job Introduction

Contract / Hours :   Temporary in first instance until 31st August 2025. Part-time hours to be agreed at interview, term-time only.

Start Date: 22 April 2025

Lunchtime Supervision between 12-1pm, term-time only on days agreed at interview (you will be given time for lunch if required).

Job / Person Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic One to One Teaching Assistant to provide targeted support to children in KS1 with additional needs. You will be joining a dedicated and friendly team who have the children’s best interests at the heart of everything they do. Support and training provided.

We require someone who is:

  • an excellent communicator
  • a good team player
  • flexible and responds to needs as they arise
  • passionate for working with children
  • keen to extend their own learning
  • patient

The success candidate will:

  • Work within a team of committed TAs with support from the class teachers and SENCo
  • Have a good understanding of literacy and numeracy skills (at least GCSE A-C or equivalent)
  • Have a good understanding of how children develop and learn
  • Have some phonics experience
  • Be willing to undertake First Aid training if necessary

We will:

  • Be supportive and welcoming 
  • Provide training 

Full induction and appropriate training will be given to the successful applicant.
