An opportunity has arisen to join Checkendon Church of England (A) Primary School. We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to offer support in our busy Reception Class as soon as possible.
Checkendon Primary is a small, friendly primary school located in rural Oxfordshire. We serve the community of Checkendon and nearby villages, a significant number of pupils from outside the catchment area choose to attend our wonderful school. Currently, we have 75 pupils. As a C of E Primary School, we prioritise fostering growth mindsets in our staff and pupils to achieve high standards. Our values, including Respect, Integrity, Compassion, Courage and Hope, are deeply embedded on our school culture.
You will need:
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant or working closely with children
- A flexible approach, a willingness to adapt
- The ability to inspire and motivate pupils, earning trust quickly
- A strong commitment to inclusion, being an advocate for every child
- Enthusiastic and dedicated with a passion for learning
- Excellent standards of communication and interpersonal skills
- Enjoys working as part of a team and can build strong relationships with the many stakeholders in our school
