Headington Quarry Nursery School is an Oxfordshire County Council maintained 3-5 years nursery school situated in Headington Quarry. We have a friendly team of professionals, and are looking for a teaching assistant to join us in January 2025. The hours are 20 hours per week to support the inclusion of a child with additional needs on a one-to-one basis. 

 The hours are from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m., term time only, Monday to Friday, and are on a fixed term contract until August 2025. There may be an opportunity to extend this contract or make it permanent. 

 We need someone to contribute to provide an inclusive, responsive, nurturing and stimulating educational environment. They will need to develop a warm, trusting and consistent professional relationships with individual children and their families/carers. They will work in partnership with other professionals, the local community keeping children at the heart of everything they do.

 We need someone who can promote the nursery's vision and values, participate as a member of the nursery team working to create an environment which promotes children's development and learning. They will need to comply with the nursery policies and procedures, especially inclusion, child protection, health and safety and confidentiality.

 A recognised Level 2/3 qualification in early years is desirable but essentially good numeracy and literacy skills are required. Experience of working with young children is essential - this could be within a professional or personal capacity.
