In return the successful candidate will need to have:
- Good Maths and English skills
- NVQ 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualifications or experience
- Worked with children
- Worked in a similar role at a school/setting
- Computer literacy across Microsoft products
- Basic understanding of child development and learning
- Ability to self-evaluate learning needs and actively seek learning opportunities
- Ability to relate well to children and adults
- Work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these
- Flexibility in your working approach
- Enthusiasm and commitment
- The ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality and demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of all children
- An awareness of responsibilities for health and safety of yourself and others
- Successful and satisfactory background check received from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) after interview and before appointment
- A commitment to safeguarding children
Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31st August 2027
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am – 3.15pm (with 30mins unpaid break): 31.25 hours per week
Start Date: Tuesday 1st September 2026
Salary Range: £17,745.31pa (Grade 4, scale point 4)
Age Range: Reception children
Closing date: Wednesday 8th July 2026
Interview: Week Beginning 13th July 2026
