Salary: 27 hours Grade 6 £16,374 (office administration assistant) and an additional 2.5 hours weekly at Grade 4 £1423 (lunchtime supervisor) Total renumeration for both roles £17,797 (pay award pending.) Full time equivalent salary Grade 6 £26,824/ Full time equivalent salary Grade 4 £25,185
Contract Type: Permanent - Part Time 38 weeks per year/ 27 hours a week at Grade 6 and 2.5 hours a week at Grade 4 – lunch cover

Join our warm, friendly and busy school office as our new Primary School Admin Assistant. We are looking for someone positive, organised and people‑focused who can support our children, families and staff and help keep our school running smoothly.
About the Role
You will be the first point of contact for parents, visitors and external agencies, representing the school with professionalism, warmth and confidentiality. This is a varied, fast‑paced role involving front‑of‑house communication, attendance and meal systems, event and trip organisation, record‑keeping and general administrative support. You will also support pupil welfare, including first aid and day‑to‑day queries. Please note this role includes a 30-minute daily lunchtime duty.

- Detail‑orientated with strong accuracy in admin and record‑keeping
- Able to work independently, using initiative and good judgement

- Flexible and adaptable to a busy school environment
- Skilled in IT (email, Microsoft Office, digital systems)
- Discreet, professional and committed to confidentiality
Experience in a school office is helpful but not essential
Key Responsibilities
- Managing emails, phone calls and visitor enquiries
- Supporting parents with queries about meals, trips, uniform and attendance
- Proof‑reading and sending letters
- Processing payments, invoices and financial tasks
- Booking CPD and supporting recruitment admin
- Managing admissions, school tours and staff contact lists
- Completing attendance and dinner systems
- Organising school events, medical checks, workshops and theatre visits
- Coordinating school trips and residentials
- Providing first aid support and maintaining the medical room
- Preparing resources, photocopying and general office tasks
