SEND Specialist Teacher

Job Introduction

We are an inclusively Catholic school and have high aspirations for all our pupils.  Our school curriculum celebrates academic excellence, diversity and taking-action!    We are looking for an experienced individual who can support individuals/groups of pupils with SEND needs – ensuring access to our exciting broad and balanced curriculum. Our school is passionate about inclusion and celebrates each and every child.  

We are looking for a teacher of SEND who has a specialism in Cognition and Learning and Communication and Interaction.  Candidates must be able to build a good relationship with children and have the ability to work flexibly and effectively as part of our welcoming staff.  This person will be able to encourage our pupils on our KS2 SEND register to make accelerated progress in reading, writing and spelling. This work will involve working with class teachers in class as well as in groups. The work will also include supporting our amazing Teaching Assistants in line with the EEF’s - Effective Use of Teaching Assistants.
