Job Introduction
We are looking to appoint an inspirational SENCO and Resource Base/Enhanced Pathway Leader. This is a permanent, part time position (0.6 FTE with flexibility to work from home) starting September 2025.
This role requires genuine passion, enthusiasm as well as plenty of patience, but the rewards are huge – and you can make a real difference to the lives of young people. At St Nicholas’, we pride ourselves on our provision for learners with SEND. Being one of two long term established schools within Oxfordshire that has a Communication and Interaction Resource Base on site, this role is incredibly exciting. The children within our CIRB all have an ASD diagnosis and they have genuinely struggled to succeed in mainstream educational facilities. We aim to ensure that the children have a personalised curriculum which allows them to have access to bespoke teaching and learning, pastoral support whilst equipping them with the skills to be successful and independent in their future education.
Our children at St Nicholas’ have a range of special educational needs with most pupils having Communication and Interaction difficulties as their primary need. We employ a whole school approach to ensure that any barriers to a child’s education is removed. You will work closely with teachers, support staff, parents and a range of outside agencies to provide a holistic approach of support where the child is at the centre of everything.
You must promote a love of learning, support high quality teaching and learning whilst empowering our SEND learners to have their voice heard.
Salary: UPS – £45,646 – £49,084 + SEN allowance (pro-rata)
