  • Targeted Interventions: Plan and deliver small-group and one-to-one intervention sessions, focusing on challenging students to make accelerated progress in their subject-specific knowledge and skills, particularly in Numeracy and Computational Thinking.
  • Numeracy Lead: Work alongside the Numeracy lead on developing and implementing effective numeracy intervention programs across the Maths Department, focusing on improving fundamental arithmetic, problem-solving, and data handling skills for students who need it most.
  • Learning Zone Support: Supervise and facilitate planned lunchtime interventions within the Learning Zone, ensuring students have access to dedicated academic support during unstructured times.
  • Resource Preparation: Create, adapt, and prepare teaching materials and learning resources that cater to diverse learning needs, including those identified on EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans).

  • Experience: Proven experience working with young people (aged 11-18) in an educational or youth setting.
  • SEND Experience: Experience supporting students with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Intervention Skills: Demonstrable experience in planning and delivering targeted one-to-one or small-group academic interventions, particularly in numeracy.

  • Technical Skills: Basic familiarity with programming languages relevant to the curriculum (e.g., Python, Scratch).
  • TA Qualification: A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3).

Why Join Our Team?

You will have the opportunity to make a direct, positive impact on student outcomes in subjects that are critical for future careers in STEM, while being fully supported by a dedicated SEND team and working within the inclusive Learning Zone.
