Appleton Church of England Primary School, which situated 6 miles from Oxford, is a vibrant community. We have confident children and a dedicated, energetic team of staff. The governors are seeking to appoint an interim headteacher for one year with the capacity and commitment to:
· Inspire, nurture, and lead our children as well as our staff in all aspects of school life
· Actively support and develop the distinct Christian ethos of our school
· Engage parents and carers in both the achievement of their children and the challenges that they tackle
· Communicate effectively with adults and children alike
· Drive improvement in the focus areas agreed with governors
· Form a strong, open and productive collaboration with the governing body
· Partner with governors to deliver the vision for the school
· Evolve existing partnerships with other schools, as well as forging new links, to the mutual benefit of all
· Ensure that our school continues to be seen as an integral part of the local community
