Job Opportunity: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Alternative Provision

John Henry Newman Academy, a Good school in the heart of Littlemore, is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our new Alternative Provision.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a nurturing and inclusive environment. You will play a key role in helping pupils achieve their full potential, working closely with teachers and staff to provide personalised support.
Key Responsibilities:
● Assist in the planning and delivery of learning activities tailored to individual needs
● Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEND
● Work collaboratively with teachers to develop and implement effective strategies
● Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Requirements:
● HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
● Experience working with children with SEND
● Strong communication and teamwork skills
● A commitment to promoting inclusion and supporting all learners
