Great Rollright School is a small, nurturing and inclusive Church of England (Voluntary Aided) primary school, located in West Oxfordshire on the edge of the Cotswolds. We currently have around 110 children on roll. We were rated ‘Good’ at both our last Ofsted inspection (2023) and our last SIAMS inspection (2018). We have a strong Christian ethos, centred on the story of the Good Shepherd, and the Christian values of Love, Courage, Respect, and Truth. Our aim is to ensure that every child develops academically and socially to their full potential in a safe, stimulating and caring environment.


 About the role: 

 The Governing Body are looking for an exceptional candidate who will work effectively with our current full-time Headteacher, who on 1 September will move to 0.7 FTE.  As part of this new job share arrangement, the new Co-Head will provide inspiring, compassionate leadership which: 

  • upholds and advances our Christian vision and values
  • inspires continual improvement in teaching, learning, inclusion, and the breadth and depth of our curriculum and extra-curricular offer 
  • puts the well-being and rounded development of each child at the heart of every decision.
