EYFS Teaching Assistant

Job Introduction

The Governors wish to appoint an Early Years TA to join our caring and happy village school.  The position is a maternity cover in our Nursery class. The role will be for 5 days a week and is for 30 hours (9am – 3.30pm).

Aston and Cote C of E Primary School is a good school with friendly staff as well as delightful, engaged pupils and supportive parents. Starting on 17th March 2025, this is a fixed term position until April 2026.

The successful applicant will: 

  • Have an understanding of, and commitment to, safeguarding
  • Care passionately about the well-being of all children
  • Be full of enthusiasm, warmth and energy with a good sense of humour
  • Promote the Christian ethos and values of the school
  • Have excellent behaviour management skills
  • Be well organised with good communication skills
  • Have the highest expectations of all pupils and a commitment to team work with staff, governors and parents
  • Be ambitious, proactive and self-driven with a strong commitment to developing professional practice
  • Be a creative and inspirational TA
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
  • Be willing to contribute to the wider whole school life
  • EYFS Qualification (desirable)
