Working pattern
The current allocation of hours is up to 150 per year based on:
- 11 full governing board meetings a year, for which attendance is required at school (Tuesdays 4 to 6pm) i.e. 2 hours per meeting (plus travel time), plus approximately 4 hours pre and post meeting, home based
- 2.5 hrs approximately for other weeks, term time, home based
Contract type
Casual Worker Engagement or Permanent Contract.
Hourly rate
£17.00 including holiday pay (pay award pending) depending on experience.

We are seeking to appoint a governance professional/clerk:
- who would like to become part of the St Blaise family
- whose primary role is to be responsible for organising and clerking monthly, full governing board meetings
- who will support and advise the Chair of Governors, whilst enabling all governors to access and undertake their responsibilities
- who is interested in education and has, or is willing to gain, an understanding of the legislation required to advise the governing board
- who has a strong understanding of confidentiality and GDPR matters
- who has excellent IT skills that allow effective minutes and other documents to be produced
- who has excellent writing/editing/proofreading skills
- who is able and willing to undertake training to support the effectiveness of our Governing Board
