Cove School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, innovative and approachable Behaviour Support Assistant to work with the progress leaders and the wider pastoral team in ensuring high levels of consistency in behaviour for learning and student support across the school.
The school has been rated as good by Ofsted (2020) across all four categories. It is a calm and purposeful school to work in with a great staff team.
We are looking to develop the pastoral / behaviour team further by providing administrative and behavioural support for the pastoral team. You will have administrative responsibility for the centralised detention and IER register, maintaining accurate behaviour records and student exclusion paperwork. Another important role will be conducting on call some periods of the day and assisting with the investigation of incidents.
This role is an exciting opportunity to work with the wider school community, staff and parents in supporting student progress and behaviour for learning across the school. The successful candidate will need good interpersonal skills and be confident in dealing with students, staff and parents on a day-to-day basis. You will have a good sense of humour, coupled with excellent administration and communication skills and attention to detail.
