This post will appeal to someone who is naturally comfortable in the presence of young people, likes being with them, and helping them to learn and succeed. It will require an innovative approach so that students can gain access to the work set. Previous experience of working with students, particularly at Key Stages 3 & 4, will be an advantage; although training and induction will also be provided.
This role could provide an ideal opportunity for a graduate who is planning a career in teaching to gain experience in a classroom environment. It would be particularly relevant to graduates considering applying for teacher training because applicants with considerable experience in a school already are likely to have an advantage.
