Salary Details: ISR 2-4 Based on Pt 2 and 33 hours pro rata salary will be £10,406 {calculated as 33 / 37 x 44.09 / 52 x £18,198 FTE}

Hours of Work: Typically 33 hours per week / 39 weeks per year (term time)

Location of Role: Cross Secondary Bay House & Brune Park - Gosport

Job/Person Summary

This is a highly rewarding and challenging role. We are looking for individuals that are supportive, non-judgmental, patient, easy to talk to, positive and flexible. You must be able to speak to pupils in a manner which encourages and supports them, enabling you to build trusting relationships.  LSAs support pupils in class, in small groups and on a one-to-one basis.

LSAs work with pupils of all abilities, including those with special needs. Pupils with physical disabilities may need help with mobility and accessing materials, for example.

Pupils with behavioural difficulties require particular support to help them achieve their full potential.

You need to be a responsible and organised person. Some experience working with children, perhaps through volunteering in a school, or helping at clubs for young people.

You will have a GCSE minimum grade C or equivalent functional skills in English and Maths.
