We have an exciting opportunity for someone to be our Caretaker / Cleaner. This combined role is for 16 hours a week, 52 weeks a year. We are a small village primary school with four classes and spacious grounds including a school meadow. We are looking for someone who is keen to join our team and who will take pride in our whole site to ensure it is a clean and safe welcoming environment where all of our children can learn.
We are looking for a hard-working and enthusiastic person who takes pride in their work and has high standards, so that our children can learn in a clean and safe environment. We are looking for a positive, proactive, reliable and practical person to join our dedicated team to keep our site clean and safe.
We are looking for someone who can use their initiative and can meet the physical demands of the role.
Experience would be an advantage but training will be provided.
Are you someone who would:
16 HOURS PER WEEK. Three hours a day with a flexible hour each week. Times of work: 3.00pm –6.00pm however these times can be flexible.
Purpose of the job:
As caretaker; to pro-actively manage the security, care and health and safety of the school site, the building, furniture, fittings and equipment to ensure a satisfactory and safe physical environment. Training will be provided for this aspect of the role
As cleaner; to maintain a high standard of cleaning throughout the school and the grounds. The post is 10 hours per week (2 hours each day) for 52 weeks a year. Duties will include cleaning all areas of the school including emptying of bins, cleaning touchpoints, toilets, classroom tables etc.
