North Baddesley Junior School is a popular, over-subscribed junior school in a semi-rural setting with extensive grounds and a modern working environment following a multi-million pound re-clad and expansion project.
This is an exciting stage for the school as we continue to grow to a full three form entry school - our 11th class joined us this week. As a result, we are looking to recruit new members to our Learning Support Team. The role will involve working with pupils in a mixture of combinations - it is not linked to a specific 1:1 pupil at this stage.
Our Learning Support Assistants are led by our experienced Inclusion Manager (SENCo), Jane Smith, who ensures that staff have access to a programme of continuous professional development.
The successful applicant will:
-Be experienced with working with children and be committed to supporting their learning to achieve their very best
-Be enthusiastic, self-motivated, flexible, creative and able to use their initiative
-Be able to integrate as part of a team and have good interpersonal skills
-Be organised, efficient and professional in their approach
-Be caring, understanding and patient
-Have good academic skills with GCSEs at Grade A-C in Maths & English (or equivalent)
Applications must be made on the HCC form available from the top of this advert. Visits are welcome and strongly encouraged – please contact the office for details of when our Inclusion Manager, Jane Smith, is available.
North Baddesley Junior School and Hampshire County Council are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks.
