An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Inclusion Champion/SENCo to join our school team. The governors are looking to appoint a remarkable, dynamic, compassionate and enthusiastic individual who has the children at the centre of everything they do. We are looking for an Inclusion Champion/SENCo to work as a valued member of our Senior Leadership Team. This role is being offered as a permanent full-time or part time position, dependent on the personal circumstances of the best candidate.

Manor Field Juniors is a good school (Ofsted 2018) where every child genuinely matters. We seek to appoint an individual who can provide a strategic and operational oversight for our vulnerable children.

We are looking to appoint a candidate who can impact positively on the social and educational outcomes of our vulnerable children. The ‘Thrive Approach’ is embedded within our school culture; knowledge or a keen interest in developing this even further would be advantageous.

Ideally, we are seeking to appoint an experienced SENCO; someone who is already accredited with the National Award SENCo (NASENCO); however, for the right candidate, we will offer the SENCO accreditation training.

We are looking for someone who:

- Will be committed to and passionate about ensuring the best outcomes for all of the children in our school

- Is proven to be a reflective leader who consistently seeks to develop themselves

- Has knowledge or a keen interest in ‘The Thrive Approach’ to social and emotional wellbeing

- Will contribute to our shared school vision and values, rooted in the United Nations Convention for the Rights of the Child

- Is able to inspire and motivate others, and has the management and leadership skills to lead a team

- Has high expectations, is able to hold others to account, is able to support and challenge others to achieve

- Is an outstanding teacher, able to model outstanding teaching to others and to coach them, ensuring that quality first teaching impacts positively on the outcomes of our vulnerable children

- Has a 'whatever it takes' attitude

- Is able to build good relationships with others - staff, children, parents, external agencies

- Has excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

We will offer:

OUR CHILDREN are delightful - they take pride in their learning and their school and help to ensure that there is never a dull day!

OUR PARENTS work with us in partnership to help to ensure the best outcomes for their children. They support the school and parental engagement and participation is a strength.

OUR TEAM OF STAFF share one key value - we are here to make a difference to the children in our school. And alongside that, we are here to support each other and to work together!

OUR SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT is purposeful, tidy, organised and clean. Children and adults take pride in the school and help to maintain an environment which facilitates learning, both inside and outdoors.

OUR CURRICULUM, rooted in the United Nations Convention for the Rights of the Child, is purposeful, enriched and project-based. Children engage and participate actively in their learning.
