We have a vacancy for a Special Needs Assistant at Alderwood Infant School to start in September 2021.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, skilled and creative Special Needs Assistant to work at our friendly school. Responsibilities will include providing support for children with additional needs across all aspects of the curriculum. You will also need to prepare resources and assist the teacher in the day to day management.
Experience is desirable, but not essential. You will be well supported and in-school training will be provided. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate good understanding of the challenges of children with additional needs, show an empathy for these children and have an intuitive response to their needs. Additionally, they would need to be able to work under direction of the class teacher/SENCO, show initiative and enjoy being part of a hard-working team.
