Could you make a difference in a pupil’s life? Could you be a sensitive, caring individual to a wonderful, kind pupil? Can you model resilience and positivity? Your role would be to nurture, support and scaffold learning to ensure this pupil reaches their potential and flourishes. We are looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic LSA to join our team to provide 1 to 1 support for a pupil in the upper school to ensure they are able to access the full curriculum. With the Foundation’s Teaching School Alliance, providing Initial Teacher Training with Winchester University, we would welcome applications from recent graduates who are interested in pursuing a future career in teaching.
Our Core Christian Values Love, Respect and Belong are lived in every aspect of the school community so that our pupils have the very best foundation for success at St. Mary’s and in their future lives. This is reflected in the outstanding judgement from our SIAMS inspection in October 2016. St Mary’s is an exciting school to work at, with highly motivated pupils and staff. We are a fully inclusive school and know that we can help every child to push their potential, develop resilience and enjoy everything life has to offer!
Candidates should have Maths and English qualifications to GCSE Grade C or above or their equivalent. Experience of supporting young children in a school setting would be an advantage but is not essential.
We are looking for someone:
Who is positive & cheerful and has a 'can do' attitude
Who has a warm & caring child-centred approach to learning and progress
Who is able to adapt learning to remove the barriers and ensure it is accessible
Who has an ability to inspire pupils
Who can work collaboratively with colleagues and who enjoys being part of a team
Who has very good organisational skills, the ability to use their initiative and to prioritise their many responsibilities
Who enjoys being flexible but always maintains high standards
Is supportive of our values and ethos as a Church of England Primary School.
In return we offer:
-A delightful rural setting
-Learners who are keen to make progress and enjoy school life
-A very supportive & friendly staff team and Governing Body
-Support into ITT programme if desired
-A friendly, welcoming and inclusive school with a strong Christian ethos.
-Excellent working environment with good resources.
Under usual circumstances, we warmly encourage visits to the school and would be delighted to show you around. Sadly, this will not be taking place at the moment but if you would like to see more about us do visit our website. You can also telephone Fiona Walke in the school office on 01420 562117 or email email@example.com, for further information or any queries you may have.
St Mary's Bentworth Church of England Primary School and Hampshire County Council are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks.
