Salary Details: Grade D (£21,403 - £24,055)

Hours of Work: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, split shifts

Job/Person Summary

Ranvilles Junior School need a practical, hardworking Site Manager who is self-motivated, conscientious and reliable. We need someone who will care for our site with a ‘hands on approach’ and who can manage their time effectively.

 The job involves:

  1. Maintaining the site building so it is fit for purpose
  2. Ensuring the school is secure and safe
  3. Leading Health and Safety by planning and completing regular checks and risk assessments
  4. Acting as the school’s Fire Safety Co-ordinator
  5. Being the main key holder to attend emergency call outs
  6. Completing Health and Safety paperwork electronically (must be computer literate)
  7. Managing contractors (both external and HCC)
  8. Line manage the cleaning team and be willing to clean and help
  9. Ensure that the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained at all times (manage COSHH)
  10. Undertake a range of repairs, maintenance and decorating
  11. Work in a flexible manner for the needs of the children and the school

The successful applicant will be a very important team member. We appreciate that our site manager will have a unique role which helps us to teach and learn in a happy and safe school.

Practical skills are essential - training will also be provided. There are no internal candidates applying for the position.
