As our Head Teacher is retiring at the end of the Autumn Term 2020, our thriving village CE primary school is looking for her replacement. We are proud of our school which combines a strong academic track record with a kind and nurturing culture in a supportive community environment. With flexible working arrangements actively considered.
Amport School has an amazing history having first opened its doors over 200 years ago in 1815. The school was originally set up to provide education to children of the parish. Endowed as a Church of England school, it now provides education to children of Christian faith, of other faith and of no faith. Many of our children live in the villages of Amport, Monxton, East Cholderton and Quarley and the surrounding area, although the school attracts just as many children from outside the designated catchment area. As a small school, we find it is easy to get to know every child and their family.
We are proud to be one of only four schools in Hampshire where 100% of our pupils achieved national expectations in reading, writing and maths. Amport was graded Good by both Ofsted in February 2017 and by SIAMS in June. We do whatever it takes to deliver the best outcomes for every child.
Our new Head Teacher will be an inspirational leader who can encourage both the children and the staff to thrive and achieve their full potential to achieve the best they can.
There is a unique opportunity for a leader to maintain and develop the vision for our school. We are looking for a leader who can enthuse and engage, and place our values of Truth, Trust, Forgiveness and Love at the heart of every decision. A leader who is not afraid to challenge and not afraid to try new things.
If you share our passion for providing the very best education and are looking for your next challenge, we would love to hear from you.
We would be happy to show you around the school; please get in touch with Jo Cartridge in the school office on firstname.lastname@example.org 01264 772396.
Please find the information pack and application forms attached.
Please return completed application forms to Educational Personnel Services via email
email@example.com by midday 8 January 2021.
