We are looking for an inspiring and pragmatic Head of School to join our Senior Leadership Team. The Key at Havant is in a phase of rapid improvement, with an aim to become a Centre of Excellence for Building Resilience through the development of an Attachment-Focused and Trauma-Informed community to match the practice of our Gosport site. We are currently in phase two of this plan and would like a Head of School to complement our existing Senior Leadership Team. Since merging the two schools we have decided that the Havant Site would benefit from a Senior Leader that can work under the direction of the existing cross-site Head teacher to provide secure and sustained improvement and leadership for the staff and pupils. The Head of School will be responsible for the day to day running of the school and will be first point of contact for all matters related to the Havant Site.
The post holder will have a deep understanding of working with pupils that are emotionally vulnerable or presenting with complex needs and behaviours. The post holder will have experience of implementing behaviour and safeguarding systems and interventions, with a successful track record of evidencing improvement in pupil outcomes. We are looking for someone that can demonstrate an unwavering approach to inclusive education and has the strength and resilience to take The Key at Havant to the next phase of development.
Our school values of Respect, Resilience and Aspiration underpin all aspects of school life at The Key. This role will be based in the Havant site, with opportunities for strategic cross site development. We welcome applicants to make arrangements to speak with the Head teacher to understand our ethos and approach.
