Lakeside School is an outstanding day and residential special school for 92 Key stage 3 & 4 boys with a range of needs including challenging behaviour. The school received an “Outstanding” rating from OFSTED in November 2017 – and for its residence in November 2019.
We are looking to recruit a driver to transport pupils to and from home. Pupils live throughout Hampshire and so the school runs can cover large areas. The post holder will be required to drive a 7-seater people carrier or a Mini-bus so a category D1 licence will be required. MiDAS training will be provided.
The successful candidate will be able to create positive and appropriate relationships with young people and their families while setting clear boundaries for pupil behaviour while in their care. They will join a supportive team focused on pupil progress and will have access to excellent training and development opportunities.
As part of the application procedure we encourage all potential applicants to visit the school. You will receive a warm welcome and the chance to meet our pupils and staff.
Application forms can be downloaded and sent by email to the following email. Alternatively, to apply for an application pack please email:
Lakeside School and Hampshire County Council are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks.
