Job/Person Summary

Since July 2019, Knights Enham Junior School has started to develop their own identity following the de-federation of the discovery federation.  Driving what makes our school standout from others is clear when you meet the children and the community it supports.  The next chapter sees the school capitalise on these positives and take the school forward into new territory.

Knights Enham Junior School is a good school – we do whatever it takes to deliver the best for every child. Our new Headteacher will be an inspirational, creative individual with the confidence to steer our team in a challenging and ever-changing world.

There is a unique opportunity for a unique leader to define, develop and deliver the vision for our school and share and engage this vision with our local community. We are looking for a leader who can enthuse and engage everyone to achieve, where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. A leader who is not afraid to challenge and not afraid to try new things.  A leader who can inspire both colleagues and children to be the best and will always do the right thing, for our school and most importantly a leader who is the head, and heart of our school.

You may have a number of successful headships behind you where you can demonstrate the impact you have had through both your successes and challenges.  You may have the drive and determination to build success and have the energy to see this through a long-term transformation.  You will understand and have experience of Key Stage 2 (and potentially also Key Stage 1) and be confident in your ability to make a difference.  You will be a diverse leader who relishes the challenge of creating a new culture where we are one school, fostering excellent links with Knights Enham Infants school on the same site to reinforce the reason why success is clear.

Governors warmly invite applications from Headteachers and aspiring Headteachers who will:
