We are looking for a new teaching assistant to join our happy team. Initially this role will be to work alongside our After School Club Lead to support the growth of our provision.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a club that is growing rapidly and already extremely well valued by our school community. We provide care for pupils between the ages of 4 and 11 years after school in a safe and nurturing environment. Each night, different activities are planned to meet the needs of all of the pupils. Activities can include, cooking, art, sport and games.
Our children are delightful, our recent Ofsted inspection said, ‘Pupils are self-aware, confident and very happy in school. They smile and engage well in conversations with visitors….The behaviour of pupils is outstanding. Their conduct around the buildings and the school’s site is exemplary.’
We are looking for an engaging and warm team player, who is flexible and has a positive outlook. Experience of working in schools and/or childcare would be beneficial, however a full induction, training and support will be provided.
As always we are looking for the best candidate for the post, therefore we are willing to have a degree of flexibility throughout our recruitment process. For example, we offer free child-care at this club for all staff members. In addition it is possible that further hours will be available and this can be discussed at interview.
This is initially a temporary contract starting on Monday 6th January 2020 (or before if possible). Contract hours are 13 hours a week, between 2-5pm (Monday) and 2.30 and 5pm (Tuesday – Thursday). This post is a B grade (starting salary on £18, 371 pro rata).
