Itchen College is looking to further develop its Student Services provision with the appointment of an Attendance Mentor and Student Adviser.
We are seeking to recruit a highly professional individual with a flexible approach who has excellent planning, communication and organisational skills. The successful candidate must be willing to take an active role in the development of this post and make a difference to the student experience. You will have a good understanding of College procedures and be capable of working in a busy and sometimes challenging environment. The main purpose of the role is to monitor attendance patterns across the College, to highlight trends and to work with the Assistant Principal (Students) and Guidance & Support Manager to support students at risk of underachieving. You will also be working across the range of services provided by Student Services, namely providing support to the Itchen Financial Support and Transport Officer and acting as student adviser, dealing with student queries, attendance letters, replacement lanyards and Securus monitoring. Please note: although a 52 week contract is preferable, a substantial term time contract may be considered for the right candidate, this will be discussed at interview.
