Hours of Work: LSA 25 hours per week + Lunchtime Assistant 5 hour per week
Location of Role: North Waltham Village - due to rural location use of a car is essential
We are looking to appoint a Graduate Learning Support Assistant / School Direct Trainee to join our friendly team. The position is for 5 days Monday - Friday. (25 hours per week in the classroom and 5 hours per week assisting at lunchtimes).
Are you a graduate with a good degree who is considering becoming a qualified teacher? We work with a local Teaching Alliance where we employ Teaching Assistants who can later apply to join the School Direct teacher training programme. We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant with this aspiration in mind. Please contact our Headteacher, if you would like more information about the School Direct programme.
The role will include supporting the learning in a class, working with individuals and groups of children in English, Mathematics and other aspects of the curriculum, as well as preparing resources and assisting teachers in the day to day management of the classroom. The successful candidate will have a good standard of English and Mathematics and would be able to demonstrate this at interview.
