Job/Person Summary

Our present Head Teacher is retiring and we need a dynamic professional with vision and enthusiasm to carry forward the school’s culture of continuous improvement from January 2020.

Saxon Wood is a special school for primary aged children with physical disabilities, with an attached nursery. Ofsted report that pupils with complex needs thrive at this excellent school, which has particular strengths in augmented and alternative communication. It provides a wide and varied curriculum with challenging but realistic goals for its pupils. There are strong partnerships between staff and parents, governors and health service professionals. Consequently families feel, and are, very well supported and the needs of their children are met well.

We are a unique school with a strong family ethos. We are looking for someone who embraces this ethos, is open to using technological advances to help move the school forward and has a passion for providing the best education, care and opportunities to support our children to be the very best they can be.
