The Rowhill School, ‘a vibrant and purposeful place to learn’ (Ofsted March 2018). The school opened in September 2017 on a beautiful brand new site with excellent facilities and has very recently been graded as ‘Good’ by Ofsted.
We have an extremely caring and supportive staff and ‘relationships between adults and pupils are exemplary’. We are also encouraged by the fact that ‘parents are overwhelmingly positive about the difference the school is making to their child’ (Ofsted March 2018).
We are seeking to appointment an enthusiastic, dedicated and committed Learning Support Assistant who is motivated to support our learners across Key Stages 3 & 4. Applicants must like working with young people, be reliable, have a sense of humour and be able to work as a member of a team. Initially 1 year with a possibility of becoming permanent.
Applicants must have minimum qualifications of GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in Maths & English and/or relevant experience.
Rowhill School is a pupil referral unit catering for students referred by secondary schools for behavioural reasons or because they are medically unwell. Working with our students can be both challenging and rewarding and we are seeking someone who can be sympathetic to their needs and motivation.
We would like interested candidates to telephone for an informal discussion and visit to the school before the interview date.
Further information and an application pack can be obtained from the school website www.rowhill.hants.sch.uk, by contacting Janette Evans at the school on 01252 367500 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or from the schools website www.rowhill.sch.uk/
Rowhill School and Hampshire County Council are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks.
