We are looking for a patient, skilled, and hardworking person, to join us as a Teaching Assistant to support children with a high level of special educational needs.
This is a wonderful opportunity to join our exceptional school. Wood Farm is a very successful, diverse primary school in the Headington area of Oxford, with a strong reputation for inclusion: ensuring that children of different abilities and needs can learn successfully together.
This is an excellent opportunity for the right applicant to join our teaching teams in Reception or KS1. The successful applicant will have a particular interest in the developmental and learning needs of young children with special educational needs and will carry out a range of duties, including providing general support for learning, working with children one-to-one and delivering SEN support plans. You will ideally have a particular interest, or prior experience in supporting children with special needs, and children in an Early Years setting.
You will need to be passionate about learning and supporting children to achieve their best. As well as having good basic literacy and numeracy skills you will have excellent communication and team-working skills. You will be comfortable working in a classroom environment, supporting individual children or small groups, or working out of doors. This post could suit someone keen to develop a career as a Teaching Assistant, or someone looking to gain experience before moving into teaching.
In return we can offer the successful candidate a strong and supportive professional team and excellent training and development opportunities.
Visits to the school are strongly recommended: please contact Catherine Routledge, School Business Manager, on 01865 762575 to arrange a visit.
