Job/Person Summary

Are you a nurse, an armed forces Medical Assistant or another medical or care practitioner or do you simply have experience helping people with medical needs? Whatever your experience, if you are keen to work in a school supporting children with their medical needs then we want to hear from you.

We are a small school with approximately 400 pupils on roll. The school is set in a beautiful rural community, and we pride ourselves on working with all our young people as well as their families in the wider community.

Pupils will achieve their potential in their examinations but, just as importantly, will develop life skills enabling them to be successful adults.

We are looking for a compassionate and caring individual who can quickly and accurately assess the needs of young people who report as ill or who have a first aid need and can take positive action to help. Ideally, you will have some form of medical background that allows you to talk and operate with confidence when supporting young people and communicating with their parents/carers. Being a friendly face who is available for young people who seek help as they navigate puberty or health worries is vital.
