St John the Baptist Church of England Primary School is looking to appoint a temporary Special Needs Assistant to support pupils with medical needs and SEND.
We require an enthusiastic Special Needs Assistant to join our friendly and hardworking school. You will be working in collaboration with the SENDCo and class teacher to support the child/ren with an EHCP, (medical needs to be met as well as learning needs).
Post can be for either the full school day or for part time (afternoons or mornings) and combine with a lunchtime Play Worker role.
Special Needs Assistants play a vital role in enabling our children to achieve their best and we value their contributions. Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate that they are keen to learn, have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, patience, be able to work as part of a team, have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with children. We appreciate that the experience required to work in a school with children with additional medical needs can be gained from life experiences and / or qualifications.
