Hours of Work: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year with a 7am start

Job/Person Summary

The Federation of Liphook Infant School and Liphook Church of England Junior School are seeking to appoint a well-motivated caretaker/site manager to join our happy and hardworking team.

We are looking for someone who:

• is dependable, flexible, and hardworking
• is proactive and able to work independently, using their own initiative, including prioritising workloads
• has excellent communication skills and is a team player
• Has good DIY skills
• Has good basic computer skills
• Is enthusiastic and is willing to attend training

The successful candidate will:

• Be responsible for site maintenance, including proactively planning and conducting routine repairs, maintenance, and redecoration
• Have the practical skills to undertake general DIY
• Arrange quotes and site visits by contractors. Consult with contractors, SLT and governors
• Monitor stocks and order supplies
• Be responsible for site security including the daily opening and closing of the school
• Act as a key holder for the federation and attend emergency call outs where necessary
• Check the fire alarm system regularly, keeping accurate records
• Complete regular checks and records to meet legislative Health and Safety requirements e.g. COSHH, legionella etc. Ensure records are uploaded onto the relevant online systems
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the school, consulting with cleaning staff and conducting specific tasks
• Ensure regular maintenance of the school site and grounds
• Act in accordance with our Safeguarding policy and procedures
