Job/Person Summary

Highfield CE Primary school is a Voluntary Aided school in the Diocese of Winchester, and our Christian values of Peace, Courage and Respect underpin all that we do.  As a school we are innovative and our children thrive and achieve great results, in an environment of creativity and challenge.

The Governing Body is seeking to appoint an inspiring, passionate and caring Interim Deputy Headteacher for Spring and Summer terms 2025 (commencing 1st January 2025). This post is to support the Acting Headteacher (whilst the substantive Headteacher is on maternity leave) in the leadership and management of our school, building on great performance that is underpinned by our strong Christian foundations. A secondment could be an ideal CPD opportunity for someone looking for primary leadership experience.  

The Interim Deputy Headteacher will work in partnership with the Acting Headteacher, to lead and manage the school, undertaking any professional duty, as delegated by the Acting Headteacher.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an aspiring leader to gain experience in a fantastic school.
