Job/Person Summary

Wallisdean is a warm, welcoming school where we nurture the whole child.  Each child is seen as an individual and their unique talents and strengths are recognised, celebrated, and developed further.  The staff team works enthusiastically to secure good progress by developing confident and independent children who love learning.  We ensure that our curriculum is kept up-to-date and relevant because we recognise that the best quality learning occurs when children are motivated, enthusiastic and engaged.

 

Our Learning Support Assistants work in close partnership with their class teacher and our Inclusion Manager to promote learning for all our children. Experience of working in school is essential and some experience and/or training in the delivery of intervention programs would be of benefit.

 

Applicants must have:

 

• Previous experience working in a school classroom environment
• English and Maths GCSE Level
• Have a warm and caring personality
• Be willing to work as part of a team
• Able to Work independently with a small group of children

The role will include 30 minutes of lunchtime mentoring support.
